The link is at the top right sidebar. Took me a while to find it. darn. lol.<br \/>\n[shell] wget paste-link-for-git[\/shell]<\/p>\n<p>Once it is downloaded, you can install it by running [shell]<br \/>\ntar -jxf git-1.7.2.2.tar.bz<br \/>\ncd git-1.7.2.2<br \/>\nmake prefix=\/usr\/local all<br \/>\nsudo make prefix=\/usr\/local install[\/shell]<br \/>\nMake sure you type in your git archive&#8217;s name, and not the one in the code above. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>When the installation is done, you can now safely remove the tar files and the <code>git-1.7.2.2 folder<\/code> by doing [shell] rm git-1.7.2.2.tar.gz<br \/>\nrm -rf git-1.7.2.2[\/shell]<\/p>\n<p>Once you are done installing, you can check if you have git install by running [shell] git[\/shell]<\/p>\n<p>You are done for now!
